Her Royal highness from Saudi has met with the first Lady, at her state lodge office in Freetown Princess Bint Abdul Axix is in Sierra Leone to celebrate this years international Womens day with the women of Sierra Leone . Giving a brief back ground about the visit of the princess, Minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs, Steven Gaujia said, the princess has been following the activities of the first lady’s office adding that she is so impress with various projects that the Madam Sia Nyama Koroma has been embarking on across the country.

The First Lady has commissioned the Dialysis Unit at Connaught hospital in Freetown. The launching ceremony attracted officials from the Health Ministry and a high powered delegation from Isreal. Isha Conteh is the first to benefit from this much needed facility in the country. In deed the dream of the First Lady has come to reality as the Dialysis Unit is now in full operation. This life time achievement will save the lives of many Sierra Leoneans. Chief Medical Officer Ministry of Health and Sanitation Doctor Kizito Daoh commended the Israeli government for strengthening the health care system in the country.

The first lady Sia Nyama Koroma has launched the Bio-Metric system of registration, in the Bombali district Makeni, to motivate people in that part of the country to participate fully in the electioneering process. It was a rosy welcome for the first lady in Makeni as over seventy women organizations took over the street to welcome the First Lady and her entourage. Mayor of Makeni City council Moses Sesay commended the first lady for the developmental projects she has been embarking on across the country.
